Wildkin

· 0 builds in this style

One green faith, two wings: the Tenders who help it back, the Reclaimers who take it back.

The entry

Wildkin are the people who believe the world should be given back to nature. They are one family split into two wings that share the same green faith and answer it in opposite ways. Same belief underneath, two answers. One side waits and helps. The other side takes back by force.

The Tenders

The peaceful wing. They believe the world greens back on its own if you help it patiently, so they plant, heal damaged land, and tend what grows. Their devotion runs almost religious, but their method is care, not force.

The Reclaimers

The violent wing. They believe the earth should take everything back now, and they force it. They fell trees across roads, cut survey stakes, break what progress builds, and mark their work with rings of thorn and green paint slashed over the old orange road chevrons.

Livery & marks

Tenders wear faded forest green, canvas tan, unpainted timber, and oiled leather, nothing bright and nothing that argues with the land. Reclaimers run the same greens gone ragged, char black, thorn rings cut or painted at the edge of what they claim, and green paint slopped over orange chevrons.

Bench and field reference · WLD

Paint & palette
Tenders run faded forest green, canvas tan, unpainted timber, and oiled leather, nothing bright and nothing reflective. Reclaimers run the same greens gone ragged with char black, and their clearest color is green paint slashed over orange chevrons.
Field cue
Tenders: canvas, wool, field notebooks, botanical markers, quiet paths, and fences that guide rather than forbid. Reclaimers: cut survey stakes, saplings planted in a roadbed, thorn rings on posts, and corridor crews riding with axes they hope not to need.
Common posture
One faith, two wings. Tenders are calm, patient, and immovable, and will feed you at the gate and still turn you back at the fence line. Reclaimers do not talk first, and infrastructure is the target.
Best contact
With Tenders, stay on marked paths and ask before you cut, dig, or drain anything, because they notice. With Reclaimers, none advised. If you find a felled tree squared across a corridor or a ring of thorn cut into a post, turn around and report at the next depot.
Registry mark
Tenders paint a single leaf above a straight line, small and low. Reclaimers cut a ring of thorn, drawn as a circle with outward ticks, at the edge of what they have taken back.
Home ground
Post: a timber cabin at the preserve edge, often turf roofed, with cold frames, a fenced nursery, and a cellar of labeled seed jars. Watch platforms in the trees, boardwalks over wet ground, machine panels rebuilt as bird boxes and bat roosts. The Reclaimer wing keeps no recorded ground, only camps that move.

Reference only

Factions are part of the Longlight world's story — there is nothing to join and nothing to sign up for. Borrow their colors, marks, and attitudes for a build if they inspire you, or ignore them entirely.
