The
Longlight
Scattered through the world are rare pieces of advanced technology that still work, and each gives off a soft green glow. That glow is the Longlight.
Longlight was built for the Thirteen — a new kind of power, made because the robots needed more than the world had ever produced. A single module held so much power that silicon chips couldn’t control it, which is why Deepline was invented.
When the Silence killed every Deepline chip, the Longlight modules survived, because a module doesn’t need a chip to make power. People learned to wire them straight into motors, pumps, and lights.
No one has made a new module since the Silence.
